1. Who you are contracting with

Kandl (the “Service”) is provided by Kandl (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using Kandl on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age in your country.

2. What Kandl is

Kandl is educational training software for recognising candlestick and chart patterns. It includes lessons, quizzes, spaced-repetition scheduling, practice journals and paper-trade planning tools.

3. No financial advice

Everything in Kandl is for general educational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. Trading involves risk of loss. All trading decisions you make are your own responsibility. Paper-trade tools are hypothetical and do not reflect real execution, slippage or fees.

4. Your account

Keep your login credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the Service unlawfully, or for fraud or spam;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property;
• interfere with the security of the Service — no malware, probing, scraping or circumventing technical limits;
• reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service;
• upload content you do not have the rights to, including chart screenshots you are not permitted to share.

AI-assisted features generate practice questions from images you upload. Outputs may be inaccurate — you are responsible for verifying them, and they are not a substitute for professional advice. We may filter, refuse or remove content and outputs.

6. Licence and ownership

We retain ownership of the Service, its software, content and branding. While your plan is active you have a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own learning. Content you upload stays yours; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service.

7. Payment and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. See our Refund Policy for our 30-day guarantee.

8. Service level

We work to keep Kandl available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You can close your account at any time from the account page. After closure your learning data is deleted; export it first if you want to keep it.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we exclude indirect, consequential or special damages including lost profits, trading losses, data or goodwill. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content or unlawful use.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of Kandl's home jurisdiction, and its courts have venue over disputes. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
